CyberAgent Launches CA Soa Studio with The Bugle Call Anime

The series brings the manga by Sora Mozuku and Higoro Tomori to the screen, centered on Luca, a young bugler in a mercenary company who possesses the unique ability to "see sound." As he navigates a war-torn world, his aspiration to become a musician clashes with the visceral reality of combat. The production team aims to anchor this narrative in a blend of traditional animation and heavy CG, enlisting the acclaimed studio Shirogumi to handle the action sequences.

Director Shinya Watada leads a veteran creative team that includes series composer Michihiro Tsuchiya and character designer Michinori Chiba. To emphasize the central role of music, composer Hitomi Koto has been tasked with creating a score that utilizes live instrumentation to mirror the protagonist's sensory experience. The newly released teaser trailer offers an early look at this stylistic direction, showcasing Luca’s growth alongside his companion Zoe and the broader conflict defining the Arboral Year 1294.
