The expansion pack recreates six distinct islands, including Sorna, Matanceros, and Tacaño, set during the period just before the 2015 Jurassic World disaster. Orbx describes the environment as an operational park where stability is already beginning to slip. While Nublar features a bustling, active facility, Isla Sorna remains a haunting, overgrown relic of the abandoned breeding grounds seen in The Lost World.
Jurassic World islands arrive in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
Pilots can soon trade standard flight paths for the prehistoric terrain of Isla Nublar and the Muertes Archipelago. Australian developer Orbx is bringing the Jurassic Park universe to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, populating the iconic fictional islands with more than 10 species of dinosaurs in an official collaboration with Universal.
Scheduled for release between late August and early September, the content will be available on both Xbox and PC, including for users playing via the Standard Edition on Game Pass. Beyond simple sightseeing, players will face specific aviation challenges, such as ferrying VIPs to and from Costa Rica and navigating guided aerial tours over the park. Orbx is currently exploring compatibility options to bring the expansion to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and X-Plane 12 in the future.
