Starting today and running through September 9, 2026, aviation enthusiasts can monitor the movements of the Independence One specialty aircraft on FlightAware.com. The custom icon, which mirrors the design elements found on the plane itself, honors the original thirteen colonies. According to Whitney Eichinger, Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Southwest, the airline has seen significant public interest in the livery since its debut in April, prompting the partnership to simplify tracking for both passengers and plane spotters.

Beyond digital tracking, the airline is rolling out a series of commemorative initiatives to mark the milestone. Beginning July 1, pilots will distribute a new "America Trio" set of trading cards featuring the Independence One, Liberty One, and Freedom One aircraft. Passengers traveling through Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport can expect festive terminal decorations, and the carrier will join the America250 block party celebration in New York City on July 4.
