The report identifies autonomous sourcing as a critical evolution in supply chain management. According to Gartner Senior Principal Analyst Lynne Phelan, these capabilities optimize supplier selection by analyzing project constraints and market dynamics, ultimately increasing competition and ensuring greater organizational compliance. Arkestro Secures Four-Year Streak in Gartner Procurement Hype Cycle
For the fourth consecutive year, San Francisco-based predictive procurement platform Arkestro has been named a Sample Vendor in the Gartner Hype Cycle for Procurement and Sourcing Solutions. The 2026 recognition spans two distinct categories: Supplier Discovery and Autonomous Sourcing, underscoring a shift toward predictive enterprise operations.
CEO and co-founder Rob DeSantis framed the recognition as a response to enterprise leaders seeking higher levels of certainty in volatile markets. The company has seen significant recent growth, facilitating over $410 billion in spend across its network. This momentum is supported by the addition of major clients including Chevron, Valvoline, and Nissan, alongside a $36 million strategic investment from Aramco Ventures and Altira Group. Arkestro plans to showcase its platform at the upcoming Gartner Procurement Conference in San Diego this September.
