The newly formed bodies consist of an Investment Committee, a Scientific Advisory Network, and a Voice of the Patient Council. These groups are tasked with bridging the gap between bench research and clinical bedside application. Ira Akselrad, President of The Johnson Company and chair of the Investment Committee, noted that the fund is now positioned to translate its mission-driven model into concrete product development.

Managing Director Nishant Rastogi emphasized that the appointments create a unique, disease-specific model. The Investment Committee, which includes leaders from firms such as The Column Group and Recludix Pharma, will oversee portfolio strategy. Simultaneously, the Scientific Advisory Network draws on experts from institutions like Yale and the University of Michigan to evaluate the clinical feasibility of prospective investments. Finally, the Voice of the Patient Council ensures that the lived experience of those managing the disease remains central to the fund’s priorities.
